Backcountry Capability - Front Country Fun
In between a trail bike and a multi-day adventure bike, the Taïga has multi purposes. Take it on your local mountain bike trails, or for a bikepacking outing in the more rugged backcountry paths.
The geometry of the Reynolds 725 frame is developed with stability and comfort in mind. A head angle of 67deg and seat angle of 75deg strikes the balance between a modern and progressive geometry, without however falling into a too radical design.
Hunt Trail Wide MTB wheels fitted with WTB Trail Boss 29 “x2.6” tires, SRAM NX drivetrain, and a choice of FOX 34 Float or rigid carbon fork complete the package.
REYNOLDS 725 TUBESET
Frame made with a bespoke selection of Reynolds 725 tubes. Tubes are thinned in the right places to provide the comfort and enjoyment of riding a steel frame without the extra weight.
SLIDING REAR DROPOUTS
Adjustable sliding dropouts which are ideal for adapting the ride feel of the bike, or for use in single speed configuration or with a Rolhoff hub.
MULTIPLE MOUNTS
Ready to be equipped for a short or long bikepacking outing with its many mounts: triple mounts on downtube, cargo cages on the carbon fork, top tube bag and rear rack mounts.
TAPERED HEAD TUBE AND CHOICE OF FORK
Tapered head tube and the choice between a rigid carbon fork or a 120mm suspension.
INTERNAL SURFACE TREATMENT
The internal surface of the frame is treated by electrodeposition - ED Coating. This additional step in the finishing of the frame helps to ensure better protection against internal corrosion.
TIRE CLEARANCE AND DROPPER POST ROUTING
The frame has generous clearance to accommodate 29¨x 2.8¨ tires.
